Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at valuepodiatry@outlook.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

An EPC (Enhanced Primary Care) referral, now called a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan, allows patients with chronic medical conditions (e.g., Diabetes, Arthritis, Chronic Back Pain) to access Medicare-subsidised Allied Health services, including podiatry.

Eligible patients can receive up to 5 visits per calendar year. Standard appointments are bulk billed, meaning no out-of-pocket costs. Your GP will assess your eligibility and provide the referral.

This is for individuals covered by the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA).

  • DVA provides health care support for eligible veterans, war widows, and their dependents.
  • If you have a Gold Card, you are covered for Podiatry services when referred by your GP.
  • If you have a White Card, Podiatry services may be covered if they are related to an accepted condition.

DVA referrals cover all appointment costs (bulk-billed), including toenail surgery and custom orthotics, if required.
